Влияние скорости замен в гене COX1 на размер тела и половой отбор при гибридизации карповых рыб

Аннотация
Изучено влияние изменчивости фрагмента гена цитохром с-оксидазы I мтДНК (COX1) на длину тела у двенадцати видов карповых рыб, для которых известны гибриды с плотвой Rutilus rutilus и лещом Abramis brama, а также у реципрокных гибридов (RA, AR) и аллоплазматических бэккроссов (ARR, RAA) плотвы (R) и леща (A). Установлено, что скорость накопления нуклеотидных замен в COX1 отрицательно связана не только с размером тела, но и с продолжительностью жизни рыб, что дифференцирует виды на две группы: I – виды с высокой скоростью накопления нуклеотидных замен и относительно мелким размером тела; II – виды с низкой вариабельностью последовательности и относительно большими размерами тела. Граница для выделенных групп проходит между видами одного рода Leuciscus leuciscus и L. idus: при двухкратном снижении нуклеотидного разнообразия у язя происходит двукратное увеличение размера тела и продолжительности жизни, что указывает на снижение скорости клеточного дыхания и утечки свободных радикалов и точное соответствие митохондриально-ядерных дыхательных комплексов. Предположительно, снижение скорости накопления замен в мтДНК у видов группы II и у уклеи Alburnus alburnus связано с увеличением размера генома, что обеспечивает дополнительную защиту генов от химических мутагенов и, независимо от размера тела, снижает скорость аэробного метаболизма. Экспериментально показано, что мтДНК влияет на длину тела. При включении мтДНК леща (II группа) в ядерный геном плотвы (I группа) бэккроссы ARR имеют длину тела леща и высокую жизнеспособность, а бэккроссы RAA с мтДНК плотвы и ядерным геномом леща наследуют длину тела плотвы и снижают жизнеспособность. Виды II группы не способны эффективно использовать высокополиморфную мтДНК видов I группы, что проявляется нарушением наследования большей длины тела леща у гибридов RA и ведет к репродуктивной изоляции. Виды группы I, такие как Rutilus rutilus, могут включать в свой геном мтДНК обеих групп, что лежит в основе полового отбора при гибридизации. Соответственно, размерный половой диморфизм имеет генетическое происхождение и для потенциального партнера размер тела может быть сигналом для определения ядерно-цитоплазматической совместимости геномов по дыхательным комплексам.
